I have exciting news to share.
I’ve made some significant changes to the GO Digital blog, starting with the name. It is now called Digital Heart. Along with the name change, you will notice there is a new look and editorial focus.
Why the change?
Over the past two years I have focused much of my energy on developing The Heart of Marketing podcast with my partner and cohost Jayme Soulati. That has been an amazing journey. Developing the mission for the podcast has given me a new perspective on what I want to blog about here.
On The Heart of Marketing we talk about the need to make heart connections with the people we want to have as customers. I am extending that emphasis to the Digital Heart blog. It is a natural progression.
In the race to “go digital,” it’s too easy for marketers to lose sight of what is important. We are still marketing to flesh and blood people who make decisions with their heart. If we don’t reach them there we won’t succeed.
My new mission for the blog is to help you realize a higher purpose to being in business – a purpose that goes beyond being incrementally better than the competition … a purpose your customers care about. I hope to inspire you to bring a higher degree of humanity to your business relationships and customer interactions.
But one thing is not changing.
I will continue to write about marketing strategies that will help you grow your business. Now I will also be looking at how the pillars of heart marketing will ignite those strategies.
If you’re a subscriber to this blog I want to thank you for being a part of the community. And I hope you will continue to be. If you’re a visitor, I invite you to join me by becoming a subscriber.
Go for the heart, you won’t go wrong!
[Bonus: In this episode of The Heart of Marketing I detailed the process of developing a mission, a brand strategy and a content plan for Digital Heart. Check it out if you’d like to hear more ideas for developing a blog strategy for your business.]
